At PEFCU, our top priority is to protect your personal information and accounts. But did you know your best defense against fraud is to learn how to protect your data and spot the signs of a potential scam? In addition to our Fraud Protection Program, our PEFCU Security Center provides tools and resources to help you stay secure, including updated information on the latest scams and essential steps to take if you become a victim.
If you suspect fraud, please call PEFCU’s Loss Prevention Department immediately at (800) 226-6673, and we will investigate this for you. As a reminder:
PEFCU will NEVER ask for any online or mobile banking credentials—not by phone, text, or email. If you receive a message that appears to be from PEFCU asking you to verify your account information or activity, DO NOT respond or click on any links. Instead, call PEFCU at (800) 226-6673 to verify the communication directly.
PEFCU will NEVER ask you for your one-time online or mobile banking verification code (the code you may receive via text, phone call, or email to verify updates to your online or mobile account credentials).
If you are using a person-to-person payment service, it’s crucial that you know and trust those you send money to. PEFCU will NEVER ask you to transfer funds between your account and an account belonging to someone else.
PEFCU may contact Members about possible suspicious activities we detect on their accounts, but we will NEVER ask for login credentials or ask you to transfer funds.
